Simple shapes

Clean and simple are the first words that come to mind with COS clothing.
I love this effortless, non-fuss look. It is the sort of style you can wear anytime and take anywhere....it is the perfect date.
I have never purchased anything from COS, and on my London budget it seems pretty unlikely. But I can dream.  COS is pretty affordable at about £45 for a perfect shirt but it's still out of my price range. Although this grey jersey top is only £25. BARGAIN!

A bunch of your finest

The hardest pattern to shop for is definitely floral.
it can be tricky to find a print which mixes the right colours together, in a pattern that doesn't look nasty and cheap. A print that is on trend but is a classic, and has a slight vintage twist....because everyone thinks vintage when you see a tasteful floral print. Right?
Saving up and fashion definitely should never ever be used in the same sentence. Purely because it is completely impossible to do both! Therefore i have given up on the saving up and am going for the fashion part.
Following my floral shorts, i have purchased a floral blouse.  it is definitely a bit of a grandma blouse but not so twee and pretty, and paired with my geography teacher cord shorts i am going for a comfortable boyish look.

oooo i can feel an autumn breeze already...

Lets play out in the rain

OK, my final sale purchase....i promise-ish.
I do not know what is going on with some shops this year, these wellies are from Next and came in store along with the summer season clothes. Excuse me what!? Yes, they are perfect for those festival go-ers, but i don't think even the festival junkies would buy these clumpy wellies with their ripped denim shorts, sunglasses and straw trilby, and lucky for them we've had a pretty sunshine filled English summer.
So typically these wellies went straight in the sale....HALLELUJAH!! From £25 to £10, cheers Next.
Yes they are studs and studs were very much around last winter, but i don't care, they are perfect in my eyes. Teamed with a pretty floral number they give that boy/girl twist i crave so much.

Guilty Pleasure

I love that clean cut minimalism look. A piece of clothing that just transforms your outfit and mood in seconds. I am slowly starting to acquire a wardrobe of these classic pieces, building up my own Gok interchangeable wardrobe.
This jacket it my new found autumn love.  I have had my eye on it since it first came into Topshop about 2 months ago. The colour is so crisp and i can not get enough of the slightly masculine details, but at £65 i couldn't find a good enough reason, not that just wanting it wasn't a valid reason. With London and placement coming i now have a reason to shop shop shop. When i went in search of the jacket, it was the last size 8 in the sale. At £20, it was a bargain and of course, complete fate!
P.S check out MJ in the background! He really is my guilty pleasure. RIP

Super Shabby's style

Silly Shabby for leaving the house!
In her honour i am dedicating a blog to her style. Shabby's style was just that....shabby. She took androgynous to the next level, and i love it. I don't think i would ever have the balls (no pun intended) to wear such masculine clothes, i like to add a twist on femininity but like to feel sexy at the same time.
Her often mix matching outfits were so wrong they were right, and her love for her grandads hat makes her look even more intriguing and meaningful.
Her style shows her character and she wears outfits which are as quirky as her personality, the two go perfectly hand in hand.

Ice cream on a cloudy day

Me and a friend have just been for an ice cream. The ice cream shop we go to has the hugest variety of ice cream flavours it takes us a good 5 minutes to make a decision. I finally decided on  1st scoop amaretto and cherry's, 2nd scoop bubblegum. A strange mix and feeling as sick as i do i am definitely regretting the bubblegum choice. Bleugh!
Above i'm wearing my favourite t-shirt ever. It's Christopher Kane for Topshop, which i bought before Christmas 2009. I always wear it with my blue peg pants, another all time favourite. They are a match made in heaven. Well at least i think so.

Boys are good for one thing only...

Their clothes.
This is the comfiest t-shirt i own. It's mens H&M from last summer, I love the cut and loose fit of mens clothes. Its my holiday beach top, PJ top and just all round veg out top.

Happy Birthday Lula

Lula issue 10 is romantic, and oh so pretty and sweet.
Lula loves section is styled by Lyson Marchessault, a stylist who is new to me and in my opinion amazing! The attention to detail and the androgynous style is what i completely love about this shoot, it's styling and fashion in general. (photographed by Damon |Heath)

Utility Simplicity

I am all over the utility trend this summer like Gok Wan on accessories.
The only reason I like it is because I'm lazy. I like what I wear to not require much thought in between pulling it out of the wardrobe and putting it on my body.
As much as i love looking at colourful clothes I am beginning to think i have a fear of colour on my own body. With it's neutral colour palette, utility is easy peasy and doesn't make me break out in a sweat.
The utility trend has offered me beautifully cut clothes and given me the most perfect pair of pants, which i am officially living out of for the rest of the summer.
